Legal Advocate

Position Summary and Responsibilities

Tubman is seeking a full-time legal advocate to provide criminal court advocacy services in Washington County.

Other responsibilities include ensuring that victims of domestic abuse receive advocacy and support at civil court hearings, write and file Orders for Protection, recruit and mentor interns, contribute to legal services program outcomes and the mission of the agency.

Mental Health Therapist

Position Summary and Responsibilities

Tubman is seeking an experienced Mental Health Therapist for the agency’s Clinical Division. The Mental Health Therapist will provide individual and group therapy to individuals seeking counseling services.

Other responsibilities include: conduct diagnostic assessments, develop treatment plans, and participate in weekly case consultation meetings.

On Call Advocate

Tubman is seeking On Call Advocates to serve in our Harriet Tubman Shelters in Minneapolis, Maplewood and Safe Journeys Youth shelter locations. Weekly schedule in all shelters vary.

Responsibilities

Promote safety of youth and families through administration of crisis support services, security maintenance, early intervention and prevention.
Provide on-going individualized, intensive, and supportive care to youth and families through meetings and groups. Participate in networking with other providers. Promote youth and family healing through creation of positive environment, provision of comprehensive activities to support goals, and respite childcare. Promote trusting relationships with clients, with adherence to professional boundaries. Maintain relevant and integrated support plans for youth and families.

Overnight On Call Advocate

Tubman is seeking Overnight On Call Advocates to serve in our Harriet Tubman Shelters in Minneapolis, Maplewood and Safe Journeys Youth shelter locations. Weekly schedule in all shelters vary.

Provides supportive care to youth and families living in our shelter. Promotes youth and family healing through creation of a safe, positive environment. Promotes trusting relationships with clients, with adherence to professional boundaries. This position performs supply inventory, house and office support tasks, data entry and direct advocacy services to adults, youth and children living in our shelter. Core responsibilities include: house and office tasks and projects, emotional support, connecting residents to resources, crisis phone services and data entry.

Contract Psychiatric Clinical Nurse

Responsibilites

Tubman is seeking an experienced Psychiatric Clinical Nurse for the agency’s Clinical Division. The Psychiatric Clinical Nurse provides psychiatric nursing services to individuals seeking medication evaluation, prescription services and monitoring.

Other responsibilities: regular consultation with psychiatrist and other external providers as necessary, completion of comprehensive diagnostic assessments, prescribing of medications and monitoring of clients for effectiveness and side effects, explanation of medications and possible side-effects, completion of case notes and discharge summaries
