Director of Clinical Services
Position Profile The Director of Clinical Services leads the clinical services staff, volunteers, and interns in evidence-based, mental and chemical health services including the innovative, signature Chrysalis Co-Occurring Disorders Program; motivates and collaborates with staff, community partner agencies and academic research leaders in testing or creating new methods; and represents the agency and its practices locally and nationally.
Position Accountabilities
- Establish program goals, priorities, and operating procedures to meet strategic outcomes.
- Ensure program accessibility for clients.
- Ensure there is sufficient staff to provide quality services, and compliance with professional standards, Rule 29, Rule 25 and Rule 31 licenses and certifications.
- Motivate and coach division Lead Staff and others in leadership development and their guidance of the clinical work and integration within the agency.
- Meet established goals for division staff, operations, and finances including attaining earning goals for billable clinical positions.
- Evaluate programs and develop and implement changes in order to improve their agency and community reach, effectiveness, and efficiency.
- Manage relationships with insurance companies and ensure compliance with the third-party payer contract standards.
- Assist in development of division resource proposals, contracts and required reports, and ensure division management of grant and contract goals, division data, and client outcomes.
- Maintain and expand relationships and services across agency divisions and among community partners.
- Seek and develop field collaborations and partnerships that enhance services to clients, accessibility, or improved client outcomes.
- Interact and support open, critical thinking, innovation, and change as the basis of Tubman’s learning culture both within the directors’ peer group and across the Clinical Division.
- Represent the agency or the president, as requested.
Minimum Qualifications: Licensed at master’s level in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, nursing, or related field. Experience in mental health and chemical health evidence-based practices and systems of care. Minimum five years experience supervising clinical staff.
Best Candidate would be dually licensed in chemical and mental health fields and/or hold further advanced degree in one related field; have expertise in developing new clinical service methodologies, and building collaborations in and managing research projects; have expertise in data analysis/program evaluation; and interest in proposing alternative or new governmental system solutions.

Supervises: 8 Leads: Program (Co-Occurring, Mental Health and DBT), Data, Intern/Volunteer, Sustainability, Public Information, and Client Access/Operations.
