Programs that help entire families heal from the damaging effects of domestic violence, chemical abuse, mental health issues and other forms of family distress.



Kids in Transition (KIT)

Kids in Transition is 6-week closed support group for youth who have experienced family violence, relationship transitions, and/or grief and loss. Groups are offered to youth in two age groups: 5-12 & 13+.

 
Movement for Violence Prevention (MVP)

Tubman's Movement for Violence Prevention (MVP) series helps youth organize around violence prevention. This class will help teens expand their knowledge about violence prevention strategies and will also give them the tools to provide presentations to other youth so that they can create safer communities.

 
Voices in Prevention (VIP)

Tubman’s 6-week violence prevention curriculum serving middle and high schools in Hennepin, Ramsey and Washington counties.

 
Divorce Education Workshops

These programs meet the county requirements for divorcing families. Shared Parenting class for parents and Sandcastles for children are designed to build supportive parent/child relationships.

 
Drop-In Child Care

Child care for Tubman client families serving infants and children 6 weeks-12 years.

 
Family Focus Group
General support groups for parents with children of all ages who have experienced trauma.
 
Parenting Through Change

Support group for single heads of household with children ages 5-12.

 
Youth Support Groups

Support groups for children ages 5-12 and teens ages 13-18 who have experienced family violence.

 
Youth Safety Plans

Specialized safety plans for youth ages 4-18. Available to residents and the community at large.
