    Child Specialist Interns support children who are living at Tubman’s shelter in Maplewood for families that have experienced domestic violence. Provide individualized, trauma-informed, strength-based care and advocacy through relationship building, on-site activities, field trips, and respite childcare.
    This position works directly on-site at our Maplewood shelter and adheres to Tubman's COVID-19 safety protocols.

  • Maplewood
    The Criminal Legal Advocate is responsible for attending court in Stillwater or St. Paul and relays information about criminal domestic assault cases to the clients involved. Must have personal transportation. Wednesday and Friday daytime availability required.

  • Maplewood
    The Criminal Legal Advocate Assistant is responsible for supporting the work of the staff Criminal Legal Advocate at Tubman’s Maplewood location, including data entry and client communication. This position works both remotely and occasionally on-site and in-person, following all Tubman COVID-19 protocols.

  • Minneapolis - Remote opportunity
    **Available for immediate start**
    As part of Tubman's Development and Communications team, the Grant Writing Intern will help research grant opportunities, assist in writing proposals and reports, while gaining valuable skills in grant writing in a non-profit organization.
    Time commitment for this position is a minimum of 6 months. This position currently works remotely, with potential to return working onsite.

  • Tubman Chrysalis
    The Paralegal Intern assists Tubman’s legal department with projects such as drafting client correspondence and court documents, screening prospective legal clients, and administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and research.

    Tubman Resource Advocates at Tubman East in Maplewood implement survivor-centered and culturally grounded practices to provide people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds with information about relevant services, safety planning, and resources to strengthen connections to programs of potential interest. Resource Advocates deliver empathetic resource guidance, crisis intervention, and information primarily via phone and e-mail.

    This position operates on-site and in-person, following Tubman COVID-19 protocols.

    Minneapolis - Remote option available
    Tubman Resource Advocates implement person-centered and culturally grounded practices to people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds through safety planning, connection to Tubman services, and referrals to community organizations. Resource Advocates deliver empathetic guidance via phone, e-mail, and in-person to individuals seeking legal services and other resources.

    This position may work either on-site and in-person following Tubman COVID-19 protocols, or a remote option may be available.

  • Minneapolis
    The Safety Project connects low-income victims of domestic violence with attorneys to represent them in their Order for Protection cases. The Safety Project intern assists Tubman staff with administrative tasks such as processing client intake referrals, data entry, tracking volunteer attorney participation, and client evaluations.

  • Starlight Soirée Auction Committee Member

    Remote opportunity
    Are you interested in planning an event that is elegant, memorable and helps raise funds to support Tubman and the people we serve? Consider joining our Starlight Soirée Auction Committee! The Starlight Soirée is our annual gala to honor survivors’ journeys from fear to freedom and to celebrate the generous donors who support our mission. Committee members are asked to leverage personal and/or professional networks to generate event support through financial or in-kind contributions which include auction items, gift cards, wine, and growlers. Starlight Soirée Auction Committee members are also encouraged to strategize with Tubman staff to help engage potential event sponsors. We are looking for passionate committee members to help us create an amazing event.

    For the 2022 Starlight Soiree Auction Committee, all meeting will be held virtually, unless otherwise noted.

  • Maplewood
    Volunteer will be responsible for transporting residents safely and promptly from Tubman East in Maplewood to appointments and errands, or to Tubman Chrysalis Center in Minneapolis. Must be at least 21 years old.
