NorthStar Youth Outreach Center
The NorthStar Youth Outreach Center is the first step for youth without a place to call home. All young people are welcome.
The center is staffed by youth & family workers, as well as volunteers, and is located at the Maplewood Mall, 3001 White Bear Ave (Suite 2006), Maplewood, MN 55109.
Current hours for the NorthStar Youth Outreach Center are as follows:
Tuesday 12-8 p.m.
Wednesday 12-8 p.m.
Thursday 12-8 p.m.
Friday 12- 8 p.m.
Saturday 10 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Youth and young adults between the ages 10-24 of all gender identities, and their children, can access the following services:
- Advocacy, safety planning and connections to a range of additional community resources
- Laundry
- Computer access
- Food and snacks
- Supplies and clothing
- Career and educational assistance
We have youth in our community who aren’t sure where they will be sleeping next week, or even tomorrow. Our staff at NorthStar Youth Outreach Center continues to support young people who deserve the opportunity to pursue their hopes and dreams, to learn, grow, imagine, and create so they can reach their full potential. For many youth, this begins with home and family, but there are some young people who don’t have a home, or a place where they feel safe and secure, loved and supported. This is where Tubman staff and volunteers can help.

How NorthStar Youth Outreach Center Began
The NorthStar Youth Outreach Center began as a project of the White Bear Unitarian Church’s social justice committee. They had a desire to partner with Tubman to help youth in the community. Originally, it started as a volunteer-run program dedicated to making a difference in the lives of young people.
