Wrapping up the Holiday Gift Program

Each year the Holiday Gift Program brings smiles and the holiday spirit to Tubman families. Festivities include craft-making, gift pick-up, family portraits, and visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus. The Grove United Methodist Church generously hosted a party for residents of Tubman East in Maplewood for the fourteenth year in a row. A turkey dinner, pictures with Santa, and a mini spa for the adults greeted the families, including books donated by customers of the Woodbury Barnes and Noble. Tubman West and Tubman Chrysalis Center held their own parties where families decorated cookies and ornaments, shopped the bookstore, and were able to take presents home to be wrapped.

Ameriprise Financial has also been a tremendous supporter of Tubman's Holiday Gift Program since 2012. Throughout the past seven years, Ameriprise has provided gifts for more than 1,600 women, men, children, teens, toddlers and babies. This year, Ameriprise provided gifts for 235 individuals from wishlists collected by Tubman staff. Ameriprise employees give their time to shop, collect, and drop-off donations to Tubman during the early weeks of December. A special thank you goes out to this year's gift drop-off and donation drive coordinators.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone at Ameriprise for the generosity and time you commit giving back to the community, and thank you to all who were involved in making the holiday parties a special night to remember for the children and families Tubman serves.
